If you’re such an avocado fan as I am, sure you like Guacamole. Guacamole is practical food in many ways. It’s a super-healthy, diet, perfect for losing weight, or just as a snack without any plastic, colorful additive, which is not only unhealthy but also fattening.
But for me, this is not the real charm of Guacamole. I would highlight two important points, and that is why I would say this creamy magic is „Two-faced”. In addition, the two aspects move in extremities. Do not worry, you do not have to think about huge things.
We all know there is a big difference between the foods we can eat during the day, morning and the evening or night.
First of all, Guacamole is perfect as early morning healthy breakfast and also a total super snack for your movie night.
Early in the morning when something nutritious is needed for your body, your day will start so much better with a delicious guacamole. As well at the end of the day when you just fall into your home tired ( hopefully from the lots of workouts you did), instead of a chewy cheese sauce, put some fine guacamole dip next t your nachos. It is a much better solution, and it is healthy and nutritious.
The health benefits of avocado have been already discussed in my previous article, so this is not what I would like to chat about, especially when you’ve been waiting for
THAT Guacamole Recipe for a long time.
As a guide, I have to tell a personal story about Guacamole in order to see clearly. Years ago, I was lucky to spend almost two months in Mexico, where I had a chance to get in touch with the original Guacamole.
But to be honest with you, I did not blow my mind at all… Namely, the original Guacamole recipe is really simple, with only three ingredients. It was just avocado and a splash of lime juice and a pinch of salt. There is no problem with this anyway. But I wanted a little more.
So I figured I would make my own Guacamole sauce, just as I like (I hope you will like it too.) to be happy with the flavors in my mouth completely.
Let’s see, then:
-1 Ripe Avocado ( You can tell when it is ripe. It feels heavy for its size and it is dark outside)
-2 Middle Sized Garlic
-1/2 Medium Onion
-1/2 Lemon or Lime
– 1 tsp Dijon mustard
-Red paprika (as a Hungarian girl I have to put paprika in everything)
The preparation could not be more simple.
In a bowl, you have to smash the avocado with a fork and then chop the garlic and onions. Mix them together and put 1 tsp of Dijon mustard into your light green cream. There go a few drops of olive oil, my personal theory is that the flavor of the spices is much more mixed and more intense and fuller with the use of oil. Cut out the lemon or lime, just what you use and add it to the cream. You have to add a pinch of salt and pepper, you can use as much as you like. From the red pepper, there goes only a little bit on the top. It will make it more tasty and delicious.
Well, this would be my ultimate Guacamole Recipe for you. I hope you like it and try to recreate it as well. And please feel free to share your experience about Guacamole. I’m waiting for your guacamole ideas too.
